Freedom of Information (FOI)
Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Data Protection Act 2018 (the Acts), individuals have rights to obtain information held by Â鶹ŮÀÉ. The College promotes the public understanding of its activities via the systematic publication of relevant information. If routinely published information does not provide what you require the College provides information to members of the public on request, where practical and permissible but subject to exemptions provided by the Acts.
How to make a FOI request
You are allowed to ask the College to provide you with any information held by the College. Before submitting a request you are advised to check the to determine whether the information you require is already available.

Please note that all requests must be made in writing. You must give your name and an address for correspondence.
Charges may be made for actual disbursements incurred such as:
- Reproducing any document containing the information, e.g. printing or photocopying;
- Postage and other forms of transmitting the information; and
- Complying with section 11 of FOI where the applicant has expressed a preference for the means of communication and where this is reasonably practicable.
Charges may also be made for information provided under this scheme where they are legally authorised, they are in all the circumstances, including the general principles of the right of access to information held by public authorities, justified and are in accordance with a published schedule or schedules of fees which is readily available to the public.
If there is a fee we shall contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the amount.

Requests for Personal Information
Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 2018 you are allowed to ask the College for any information held about you as an individual (a ‘subject access request’). If you wish to make a subject access request, then please contact the College Data Protection Lead. There is no fee for this service unless the request is deemed manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case the College may refuse it on the grounds that it exceeds the appropriate cost limit, or reserve the right to charge a fee. The College will normally have one month to respond to your request.
